As we all know, we now find ourselves in very challenging times. The question now before us is what we are going to do about them.
Those who know Action Long Island (ALI), or have worked closely with us, share a keen awareness of our 45-year history of significant accomplishments. Today’s challenges are once again a clarion call to Action.
This By Invitation Only Strategy Meeting will focus on the major development planned on and around the NYS Route 110 Corridor in Downtown Melville and what it means for transportation and infrastructure, the economy, energy and the environment, housing, and jobs across our region. Following opening remarks by Farmingdale State College President Dr. Robert Prezant and the Suffolk County perspective from County Executive Ed Romaine, Elisa Picca, Chief Transportation Officer of Suffolk County, will deliver a presentation on the County’s bold new transit plans for the corridor.
We will then review the planning together and form the Task Forces that turn priorities into action — and you and your organization are invited to volunteer in the issue area best matched to your expertise.
A project of this scope requires the whole region in the room!
Seating is limited — if you received a personalized invitation by email, please RSVP using the link in that message as soon as possible.
Members of the press are welcome.
This event is by invitation and seating is limited. If you would like to attend, add your details below to join the waitlist — we will be in touch if a seat opens up.
